One of my many interests is cooking. I don't remember how I got started, but over the years I've gotten pretty good if I do say so myself. I love to cook, and I love to watch people enjoy my cooking. Sometimes our guests ask me why I'm not eating. It's usually because I'm enjoying the sight of my creations being devoured.
Often, people ask me where I get my recipes. I don't really get them from one place. Sometimes I get ideas from watching television food shows. Not from the iron chef types, but from the half hour individual chef's shows. Two of my favorites are "License to Grill" with Rob Rainford and "Chef at Home" with Michael Smith. Some of the Bobby Flay shows are good too. Other times I will search the internet for something specific, or maybe for an idea that may be nice to try out. However, I tend to tweak and manipulate the recipes that I see so as to make them my own.
Click on the titles below to see some of my current favorites. Just a warning though to those who want to try out any of them. I hardly ever write any of my recipes down. Most of them are prepared from memory -- which means that it's difficult to duplicate anything exactly. However, I usually come close enough for folks not to notice the differences.
